Growing up I was a shy kid with little self confidence. I played a lot of football (Soccer to my American friends) so I was always very fit BUT I was skinny and weak. In secondary school, my P.E teacher told us that we were having a bench press competition. I thought, "Urghhh ok..." and came LAST. I looked at the kid who I thought was weaker than me & thought "How is THAT guy stronger than me?". Truly embarrassing mate.
I also wasn't comfortable in social situations, Always wanted to blend in and not stand out. I'd go BRIGHT RED if I was told to stand up and talk in class.
I was HEAVILY into WWF (Wrestling) and wanted to look like a wrestler. I went to an event in England and I met the legendary wrestler Eddie Guerrero (RIP) and asked him "How long did it take you to get so big?" he laughed and said "a long time".
Now I look back, it was a pretty stupid questions bruv.
Around 15 I bought China's VHS "More Than Meets The Eye" which had workouts. She was a BEAST and no other wrestlers released a workout program so I thought, "I need to get this!"
My friend Vinnie and I would watch every pay preview over at his. Before it would start we'd put on the VHS and do the workout with our sand dumbbells weights.
I still had pretty awful form.
When I got to college I started to use the gym and didn't really know what the hell I was doing but I was consistent.
After I began working out, people started to look and treat me differently. I KNOW it sound's corny but it felt like a superpower. At first it as awkward because I still thought I was the same man I was. But I changed. My shirts fit better, I got more compliments from men & women. My confidence gradually started to increase.
Feeling good about yourself WILL help with business AND relationships.
I've learnt from over 2 decades and now passing on my knowledge and exererience to you, so you can fast track while everyone's waiting for the right time.
The time is always NOW!
Even now I keep going because that's the ONLY way to progress and better myself.
